FDE Decision on Reopening of Schools & Colleges. Educational institutions in Islamabad will remain closed till 6th June 2021, according to the Federal Directorate of Education. They were expected to open on May 24, but the date has been pushed back due to Islamabad’s high rate of coronavirus infections, which stands at 6%.

On Thursday, the Federal Directorate of Education released a statement saying, “As a result, all educational establishments operating under the Federal Directorate of Education shall now remain closed until 06-06-2021 under the already issued guidelines.”

On June 3, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) will review the pandemic situation and make a new decision about reopening the educational institutions.

The NCOC, in a decision taken on May 19, authorized educational institutes in areas where the COVID-19 positivity rate is less than 5% to reopen on May 24.
