Every year, Mälardalen University awards a limited number of scholarships through the Mälardalen University Scholarship Degree to foreign students from non-EU/EEA countries and Switzerland who are applying for a Master’s programme as their first choice on Sweden’s national admissions site.

Scholarship Worth and Benefits
If you follow the usual study plan (minimum 22.5 credits per semester, minimum 45 credits per academic year), the scholarship will pay the whole tuition charge for the programme. Living expenses are not covered by the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must first apply for an appropriate Masters programme at Mälardalen University via www.universityadmissions.se, choosing Mälardalen University as their first choice university. Furthermore, the application cost has to be paid on time.

The scholarship is for highly qualified students who are obliged to pay tuition fees and come from countries outside of the EU/EEA/Switzerland. The scholarship is not available to students from Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia, who are among Sweden’s 12 long-term development partners. Students from these countries should instead apply for a study scholarship from the Swedish Institute.
